Hi guys, welcome on Aristocrazia Webzine. May we have a short presentation of your band?

My name's Jeremy, We're Rusted Dawn, we're from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, and we play super heavy fast and loud shit.

This year you have released the first album: "The Black Tides Of War", how you describe it?

'The Black Tides Of War' is just a cut of speed on a plastic disc for all to give'r to. We're pretty stoked on it and how well it's been recieved thus far.
Which is the musical background of the band?

I took a few years of guitar lessons, same as Justin (lead guitar). We both played in some bands when we were younger for fun. Tom, our drummer has been in alot of bands around Fredericton. Chad picked up guitar on his own, then started playing bass when he joined the band.

I have listen many times your cd and i have noticed also the songs possess a detonating charge especially when are of short lenght as "By The Hammer Of Thor" or "Stigmantis". Which is your modus operandi for write a song?

We don't really have a set method of writing songs. It usually starts with Justin and I coming up with some riffs and bouncing them off each other. Then we just bring it to the other guys and go from there.

How are important the texts and which are the themes treated?

to write lyrics I just think of something that I find frustrating and jot down stuff. lyrics come in bits and pieces usually.

The thrash movement is now living a second youth, any thoughts about the scene? (Local and World scene).

I think most bands are just jumping on the bandwagon at this point. There are some great bands out there but just like all music it's flooded with bad music too.

What is the meaning of playing this genre for you?

I know it's lame to say but I don't really subscribe to genres when it comes to describing what I play. I just play whatever feels right, and it usually just ends up being fast and heavy.

What is underground now?

Underground music to me just describes bands who haven't broken into mainstream knowledge. Most great bands right now fall into this jurisdiction.

There is something about the current scene that really failed to appreciate?

I just think most people buy into anything without thinking critically as to if it's really great music or not. Until they do music will just remain very mediocre.

What has more or less the metal today compared to the eighties and nineties?

Music's just going to move forward, I don't really feel one era is better than the other. There's great music everywhere, you just need to look.

What kind of relation do you have with your supporters? What do you think of virtual communities and social networks?

We just hang out the way we would with anyone really at shows. The internet has definitely helped bands spread the word more.

Can you tell us the best things that happened you on-stage? Do you have a live performance you would like to repeat?

Usually our shows are just a big blur to me, we have good nights and bad. I just like to take each show as it comes and give'r as hard as I can. Some of the best shows this tour were on the west coast of Canada, in places like Vancouver.

Would we ever see you live in Italy?

Haha, if someone will help us book a tour over there we'd gladly go. hint hint.

Thanks for the time you spent with us, the last message for our readers is up to you:

Pick up a copy of our record and give'r.
